IN BUILD Solana · non-custodial PNGx — kina i go, krypto i kam, ki i stap long yu

Buy crypto with kina. Keep your own keys.

PNGx is a non-custodial exchange for Papua New Guinea, built on Solana. Deposit kina, swap into USDC, Bitcoin or Ethereum at live market prices, and hold it in a wallet whose keys are split between your phone and a secure service — Blockchain Melanesia cannot move your coins.

Sign in with your PNG phone number when PNGx launches. The wallet is created from your BM ID; no seed phrase to lose.

What it does

The exchange PNG has been asking for, built the safe way round.

Wallet

Your keys, split, not held

A Solana wallet created from your BM ID with keys split by MPC: your phone holds one part, a secure service the other. BM never has a full key.

Buy

Kina in, crypto out

Deposit kina through BSP Pay or your bank's biller code, then swap into USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana at live prices from Jupiter.

Sell

Crypto to kina

Sell back to kina and withdraw to your BSP account through BM Pay. Larger amounts go through the OTC desk with proper checks.

Safety

Regulated where it should be

The kina ramp — the only piece that touches the banking system — is the regulated part, run under BM's BPNG licence and AML/CTF programme.

Points

Fee-linked points

Trading builds points that lower your fees over time. They are not cash and cannot be sold — no token games.

Save

Invest Antap, same wallet

The savings pots in Invest Antap use this wallet, so kina you bring in can earn on-chain without moving anywhere.

How it works

How a first buy will work.

PNGx is in build. The wallet, live pricing and the kina ramp design are done; the regulated ramp is being stood up with the Bank of PNG.

  1. 1Sign in with your BM ID — a self-custody wallet is created for you
  2. 2Deposit kina through BSP Pay or the BM biller code
  3. 3Swap kina to USDC, Bitcoin, Ethereum or Solana at the live price
  4. 4Hold, send, sell back to kina, or move it to Invest Antap
Built on the BM rails

Non-custodial by design.

Most exchanges hold your coins. PNGx does not: it is closer to a broker plus a wallet you own. The only custody is of kina, and that is licensed.

  • Keys are split by MPC — no seed phrase, and no single party (not you alone, not BM) can spend from the wallet.
  • Prices come from the open Solana market via Jupiter — no hidden spread on the swap itself.
  • The kina ramp runs under Blockchain Melanesia's BPNG e-money licence with KYC and transaction monitoring.
  • Larger trades go through an OTC desk with identity and source-of-funds checks.
  • Everything on-chain is public and verifiable on Solana.
Questions

Askim na bekim

The things people ask before they try it.

When does PNGx launch?

It is in build. Register your interest and we will tell you when the kina ramp is approved and the first users are onboarded.

Is crypto legal in PNG?

Holding crypto is not prohibited. Exchanging it for kina is the regulated activity, which is why the ramp is the piece BM runs under licence with the Bank of PNG.

What if I lose my phone?

Your wallet is recovered through your BM ID and the MPC service — there is no seed phrase to lose. Recovery follows an identity check.

Which coins?

A curated list to start: USDC, Bitcoin and Ethereum (wrapped on Solana), Solana itself, and a few more. No meme coins.
